Birthing Cultural Rigor®, LLC (BCR) is excited to offer the first and only "Black Woman-Person Focused" community-designed and led summit to address obstetric racism as an adverse event. To date, traditional efforts in quality improvement (QI) and implementation science (ImpSci) focus on improving quality, safety, and equity by measuring and monitoring "clinical outcomes" and designing and endorsing pathology-driven safety bundles and initiatives. As the Chief Black Feminist Physician Scientist, Founding CEO, and Owner of Birthing Cultural Rigor, Dr. Karen A. Scott, MD, MPH, FACOG, is disrupting traditional safety ethics, theories, measures, meanings, and methodologies.

Our 2nd Obstetric Patient Safety Summit (OPSS) 2025 is uniquely designed by, for, and with individuals, industries, associations, and organizations that impact Black women, girls, and gender expansive individuals, and their given and chosen communities during (in)ferility, pregnancy, miscarriage, abortion, labor, birth, postpartum, lactation, and perinatal mood and and anxiety disorders.

Prior to your OPSS 2025 participation as a student, you must first complete the online registration, select your combined OPSS 2025 registration and hotel package, and submit a letter of good standing.

The letter of good standing must be written on official school letterhead and come from a Dean, Director, Advisor, or other Chief Student Affairs Officer, indicating that you are a student in good standing for academic and judicial affairs.

Upon receipt, review, and approval of your online student registration and student letter of good standing, BCR will send you an invoice with information to remit payment to BCR based on your selected combined OPSS 2025 registration and hotel package.

Important To Note: BCR is offering student discounts for the first 20 students who submit their complete registration and letter of good standing on a first come, first served basis.
